Sunday Sounds: The Christmas Playlist

Lisa Lavie - O Holy Night

I recently came across YouTube sensation Lisa Lavie. Her rendition of Celine Dion's O Holy Night is spot on.

Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas Is You

One of my all time favorite Christmas songs. You know you love it too.

NSYNC - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

Who remembers (and has) the NSYNC Christmas album?

Destiny's Child
- Opera of the Bells

This is my fave Christmas song. Destiny's Child does the best arrangement of it.

Britney Spears - My Only Wish This Year

I love this song. I always wished there was a music video for it, but I think chrisdamask2 from YouTube did a good job.

Christina Aguilera - The Christmas Song (Holiday Remix)

This is my mom's favorite Christmas song sung by one of her favorite singers, Christina Aguilera. The original version is good, but the remix makes the background music as exciting as Aguilera's vocals.

Jennifer Hudson & Michael Bublé - Baby It's Cold Outside/Let It Snow

For Jennifer Hudson's Christmas special, she chose everyone's favorite Canadian crooner, Michael Bublé, to duet with. And if I ever get my own Christmas special, I too will choose Michael Bublé to duet with. Better yet, I'll just have him sing as I sit on the sidelines and watch in awe.

The Stunners - Santa Bring My Soldier Home

My new favorite girl group is The Stunners. For the holidays you can go to SantaBringMySoldierHome.com for a free download of their Christmas song. They're also asking that we make a video of our soldiers like the one below from The Wendy Williams Show and post it on YouTube as a video response to their video. For every submission, a donation will be made to the USO and one will be chosen to air on Extra.

Wham! - Last Christmas

Oh the classic Christmas revenge song. Anyone else hear it that way?

Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas/Sarajevo 12/24

One of my favorite things about Christmas is when people set their house lights to Christmas/Sarajevo 12/24. It's so dramatic and must take a lot of time to do. Here's one of the best I've seen in years.

Dancing Robots

My mom found this on YouTube yesterday. If I was a kid and got a set of dancing robots like these, I'd be thrilled.

Brian Setzer - My Favorite Things

I'm not sure if My Favorite Things was always considered a Christmas song. (I never watched Sound of Music all the way through.) But I always hear it played during Christmastime so I guess it is. I love Brian Setzer's version of it. So good.

VeraEmerge - You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch

VersaEmerge is one of my favorite Fueled by Ramen bands. I love Sierra and Blake's version of this song. So good.
