30 Day Song Challenge ... Days 1-5

How many times do you log on to Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr and see your mates posting their 30 day song challenges? I spotted one on Tumblr recently and thought I'd give it a go. With my crazy schedule I'll probably forget to come back and post a song every day so I'll be posting 5 songs a day for the rest of the week. Let's go!

Day 1: Your favorite song
Soft Cell - Tainted Love

I may not play it on a loop all day long, but Tainted Love is my favorite song of all time. It's so raw and edgy. I first heard The Pussycat Dolls do a rendition of it with Soft Cell's Marc Almond at Fashion Rocks back in '04. That led me to discover the original Soft Cell version and Marilyn Manson's cover.

Day 2: Your least favorite song
Axel F - Crazy Frog

Are there even any actual words in this? It gives me a headache.

Day 3: A song that makes you happy
Michael Buble/The Pussycat Dolls/Jennifer Hudson - Feeling Good

I remember the first time I heard Feeling Good. I had a day off from high school and spent the day watching music videos, one of which was Michael Buble's cover of Feeling Good. Soon after The Pussycat Dolls covered the track on their debut album PCD and I had to have it. The most recent cover I heard was by Jennifer Hudson, and you can bet I instantly took to iTunes to download it.

Day 4: A song that makes you sad
Jason Mraz - Plane

There's a line in this song that goes, "if the plane goes down, damn, I'll remember where the love was found." In a weird sort of way it reminds me that in just a split second, everything can change.

Day 5: A song that reminds you of someone
Mike Posner - Hey Cupid

This song just doesn't remind me of one person, it reminds me of most of my friends. Am I the only girl who has friends named Mary, Katie, Rachel, and Ashley? Mike just so happens to mention all of those names in Hey Cupid. Does he know something I don't know? Hmm ...
